Doug helps organizations develop, implement, and evaluate policies and practices for the effective use of health IT in care improvement. Doug has more than 20 years of experience working on a range of health IT research, evaluation, and policy analysis projects for federal agencies and private sector organizations, including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, the Veterans Health Administration, Partners HealthCare, and Tufts Health Plan.
Designed well and implemented thoughtfully, health IT has the potential to improve care quality while reducing costs.
