Elena Bravo-Taylor is a research economist at RTI Health Advance
Versed in health economics evaluation, Elena uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze the complex data needed to make informed decisions for commercial payers and providers. She has experience with the design and implementation of alternative payment models, including healthcare cost and utilization calculations, patient attribution, and economic forecast modeling.
Her current work includes leading the analysis of participating plans’ prior authorization transaction data with American’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) for their Fast Prior Authorization Technology Highway (Fast PATH) initiative. She also leads the design and calculation of healthcare supply and demand forecasts for a large state-based private health plan and supports the development of a value-based payment model for a novel therapy for a research-based biopharmaceutical company. Her previous work includes the design and implementation of alternative payment models for the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) model, the Primary Care First (PFC) model, and the Accountable Care Organization (ACO) program.
Elena graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Economics from the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University.
