Jules Payne

Julianne’s (Jules) work examines how individuals’ access and prepare for work and how employment affects workers’ well-being. At RTI International, Jules has explored organizational practices relating to employee safety and health, worker training, workforce configurations, and career education. Previously, Jules studied the health of clean-up workers who responded to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

The desire to be productive and find meaning in work is part of the human condition. I’m interested in understanding how we can create employment experiences that are rewarding, safe, and sustaining.
