RTI is conducting a comprehensive, mixed method evaluation to assessed the type of MAT and provider and patient (as well as policy and program) factors that influence the effectiveness of MAT in decreasing overdose death rates and other outcomes. The result will be to increase understanding of how characteristics of patients, providers, programs, and policies influence the effectiveness of MAT in order to improve treatment outcomes for patients with opioid addiction.
